Pengaruh Terapi Akupunktur terhadap Tingkat Kestabilan Pasien Nyeri Sendi di Klinik Nurhanudin Ali Jatiwangi dan Klinik Darma Husada Majalengka

Stability is a condition that body can perform activities freely. One of physical mobilization problems is joint pain. Joint pain is a sign of particular diseases that can disturb productivity of individual. Joint pain can be managed by both pharmacology and non-pharmacology approach. Acupuncture therapy is one of non-pharmacology management. This study has aim to test the effect of acupuncture therapy to physical mobilization in Acupuncture Clinic Burhanuddin Ali Jatiwangi and Dharma Husada Majalengka. Quasi experiment is used in this study that data collection uses questionnaire. It measures mobilization physical using Berg Scale Balance. The number of sample size is 30 patients with joint pain. Based on the results, the stability rate of patients with joint pain, before given acupuncture therapy is in medium level of fall risk and after given acupuncture therapy those patients are in low fall risk. In conclusion, there was a significant different level of stability rate among patients with joint pain before and after given acupuncture therapy (mean= 38,167 dan 48,833, SD = 5,086 dan 7,461) (t=6,029, df= 29). This therapy can be considered as a modality therapy to those patients with joint pain and as baseline data for further investigation.Keywords : Acupuncture therapy, Physical mobilization, Painful joints.
